The United Arab Emirates’ Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) has categorically denied reports circulating in some local and international media outlets claiming that the UAE is offering a lifetime Golden Visa to selected nationalities.
In an official statement, the ICP clarified that no such policy exists, urging the public not to trust unverified or unofficial information regarding immigration or residency services.
The authority stressed that all Golden Visa applications must be submitted exclusively through official UAE government platforms, and no individual or advisory firm—inside or outside the country—is authorised to process or approve these applications.
“The categories of golden residency, along with their conditions and regulations, are defined strictly by UAE laws, legislation, and ministerial directives,” the ICP said.
Those seeking accurate information about Golden Visa eligibility criteria are advised to consult the official ICP website or its smart application.
The clarification came in response to rumours and a misleading press release—reportedly shared on Monday, July 7—that was circulated by several Indian media outlets and UAE-based organisations. While the ICP did not name the source of the release, it announced that legal action will be taken against those responsible for spreading false information.
The authority warned that certain entities are exploiting public aspirations for a secure and prosperous life in the UAE by spreading such deceptive claims and attempting to profit from unsuspecting individuals.
The ICP reaffirmed its commitment to providing a secure, transparent, and efficient service environment, reiterating that all updates and services will continue to be delivered only via its official digital platforms.
It also strongly advised individuals planning to visit, reside, or invest in the UAE to rely solely on official government sources and to avoid falling victim to fraudulent promises of quick and guaranteed residency.
