PESHAWAR: Two terrorists were killed in an intense exchange of fire during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Razmak, district North Waziristan of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The security forces carried out the operation on the night of August 14-15 on the reported presence of terrorists in the area, said a statement by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
During the conduct of the operation, security forces surrounded the terrorists’ location and after an intense fire exchange and terminated the two terrorists. They also recovered weapons and ammunition from the killed terrorists.
The military press wing said the terrorists remained actively involved in terror activities against security forces as well as extortion and target killing of innocent citizens. It said the sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.
