KARACHI: Police have arrested two suspects involved in street crimes and motorcycle theft from Baloch Colony area.
According to details, Baloch Colony police also recovered five stolen motorcycles and weapons from their possession. Head Mohrar Yasir Nawaz said that pistol ammunition and five stolen motorcycles were recovered from the suspects.
The suspects are allegedly involved in street crimes, car lifting, and drug trafficking. The accused were identified as Sufyan, son of Arif, and Salman, son of Bashir. Police recovered one pistol, 30 bores, and three rounds of ammunition from the possession of accused Sufyan.
Both suspects were riding on a motorcycle when they were stopped by police for checking. When the bike’s legal status was checked from CPLC, it was reported as stolen and a case had already been registered.
During preliminary investigation, both suspects reportedly confessed to stealing motorcycles. On their identification, the police recovered four motorcycles whose theft cases have been registered in different police stations.
Their criminal record was checked which revealed that three FIRs have been registered against them in Baloch Colony police station and one in Aram Bagh, which shows that the criminals were habitual offenders. Further investigation is underway to ascertain more details of their criminal activities.
