KARACHI: At least two people were wounded in a cylinder blast in a bakery at DHA Phase-II during the wee hours of Tuesday.
The incident took place at around 3:30 am when an explosion at the Ideal Bakery was heard far and wide. The whole bakeshop is ruined to pieces as a result.
The shock waves from the blast also caused damage to the nearby parked cars and left window glasses shattered of many buildings.
According to details, the two injured people were moved to the hospital for medical treatment. Meanwhile, the police had arrived to investigate the matter as soon as the incident was reported.
As per sources, the explosion was caused by a cylinder or a short circuit, however, investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the blast.
