A female anchorperson of a private TV channel has mysteriously disappeared along with her family at Babusar Top areas in Gilgit on Sunday.
The spokesperson of the Gilgit-Baltistan government has confirmed that the family, which consisted of the anchor, her husband, and four children, had gone to Babusar Top on July 21, and since then, there has been no contact with them.
According to sources, those who have gone missing include Khyber News TV anchor Shabana, her husband Liaquat Ali, and their children Aimal, Iman, and two others. Upon receiving the information, rescue agencies have initiated a search operation.
Rescue teams are using modern technology as well as sniffer dogs to locate the missing persons as quickly as possible. According to authorities, the search operation is ongoing, despite the challenging geographical conditions of the area.
It should be noted that a week ago, many tourists were killed at Babusar Top after a cloud burst.
