It’s hardly surprising that Pakistan’s elite believe they are untouchable, regardless of the severity of their crimes. For anyone still in doubt, the latest video involving Natasha Iqbal, the wife of prominent Karachi industrialist Danish Iqbal, who struck and killed two people with her speeding SUV on August 19, might change your perspective.
In the video that has surfaced online, Natasha can be heard saying, “Tum Meray Baap ko Nahi Jantay (You don’t know who my father is),” hinting at her perceived immunity due to her family’s influence and wealth.
Although it’s unclear in what context Natasha, the wife of Danish Iqbal—CEO of Metro Power Company Ltd. and a member of the Gul Ahmed family—made this statement, it appears to suggest she believes she is untouchable in a country where wealth often shields the powerful.

It’s worth noting that the Karachi City Court has placed Natasha under physical remand. Initially, her defense lawyer claimed she was suffering from mental health issues and had been admitted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) following a head injury. However, hospital records show she was discharged as fit after medical evaluations, with doctors concluding that no immediate psychiatric intervention was necessary.
