PESHAWAR: A high-profile commander of banned Tahreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was killed by security forces during an operation in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations of Pak army (ISPR), the operation was conducted over intelligence information in Mir Ali, in which high profile terrorist commander Safi Ullah was killed while arms and ammunition were recovered from his possession.
The terrorist belonged to Mir Ali and was involved in killing four female workers of an NGO last February, said ISPR, adding that he was also involved in the targeted killing of Federal Works Organisation FWO engineers last year.
Moreover, the terrorist was involved in IEDs attacks on security forces and in various cases of extortions and kidnapping for ransom. Weapons and ammunition in large quantities were obtained from the notorious commander.
