SEHWAN SHARIF: At least ten people lost their lives as a result of a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a truck on Indus Highway near Jamshoro on Thursday.
Reports gathered by the MM News revealed that a passenger bus was on its way from Karachi to Punjab when it collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction. The incident took place near Manjhand, a place near the famous Sehwan Sharif.
Locals and rescue teams rushed to the scene and shifted bodies and the injured people to Manjhand hospital, where ten people including two women and three children, were declared dead.
Local police officials also visited the site of the accident to take stock of the situation.
The Indus Highway, it may be mentioned here, has seen numerous accidents over the past few years. In May this year, 15 people lost their lives as a result of a van-truck collision on, what has been deemed as, black-spot on the highway.
