A bus fell into a ravine near Dhok Sial on the motorway in Chakwal, resulting in the deaths of 6 people and injuries to 24 passengers, as reported by national media on Sunday.
According to details, the high-speed bus plunged into the ravine, causing significant loss of life. Authorities stated that the injured from the accident near Dhok Sial have been shifted to the hospital.
Rescue officials said that 24 injured individuals were taken to the Trauma Center in Kallar Kahar and the DHQ Hospital, where they are receiving medical treatment. In addition to physical injuries, passengers are also suffering from psychological trauma due to the accident.
A Motorway Police spokesperson stated that the bus involved in the accident was traveling from Islamabad to Lahore. The accident occurred due to the driver’s negligence and carelessness.
It is worth noting that due to non-compliance with traffic laws and drivers’ negligence and carelessness, accidents are becoming increasingly common not only in Chakwal but also in other cities of Punjab.
