Sindh traffic police have started a crackdown against illegal vehicles from Monday, stating they will take unregistered vehicles into custody from today, as reported by national media.
According to a report, the crackdown will take unregistered vehicles into custody. Minor drivers will be arrested, as well as those who drive their vehicles without a license. No showroom will be allowed to give a vehicle to its customers unless it is registered.
Officials stated that the showrooms must provide only registered vehicles to their customers, while showing the Fitness Certificate of the vehicle will be essential.
On the other hand, traffic police are taking legal action against violations of rules in the biggest city of Pakistan. As many as 15,347 individuals were fined, registering 19 First Information Reports (FIRs), including 5,666 fines for driving vehicles without a license.
Police are taking strict action against violations of the law, issuing fines to 2,549 drivers for breaking signal rules, 1,971 for “No Parking” violations, and 1,219 for driving motorcycles without number plates.
