Rajwinder Singh, the killer of 24-year-old girl Toya Kordingali, who was found dead in the sand on the beach of Northern Australia, was arrested in India for four years.
However, here the question arises as to why the Indian citizen Rajwinder Singh killed the Australian girl Toya Kordingali.
Why did Rajwinder Singh kill Toya?
According to Indian media, 38-year-old Rajendra Singh killed Australian woman Toya four years ago today because her dog was barking at Rajwinder Singh.
During interrogation, the accused told the Indian police that he was carrying some fruits and a kitchen knife. Toya was walking her dog on the beach when she barked at the accused and the two got into an argument as a result, Rajwinder Singh killed the woman and tied the dog to a tree after burying the body in the sand.
How did Rajwinder Singh get doubted?
Toya’s dead body was found in October 2018, after which the local residents were very worried and assured of full cooperation with the police. Hundreds of people gave their own reports and many scoured Wangari Beach for evidence.
At the same time, the police requested DNA samples from the local people, and at the same time, they themselves continued to search for evidence. During the search, police also searched Rajwinder Singh’s home in Innisfail, about two hours away from the crime scene, but were unable to question him as Rajwinder had left the country by then.
A relative of Rajendra told the local newspaper The Courier Mail that the plan to return home was a coincidence. They said that Raju Yender cannot do that because he is too timid.
However, the Australian government sought his extradition in March 2021, indicating that they had found evidence of his involvement in the murder.
International attempt to arrest Rajwinder Singh
Earlier this month, Australian authorities appealed to the public for help in an international effort to arrest Rajwinder Singh. According to Commissioner Carroll, Rajvinder Singh was trying to avoid arrest in the Indian state of Punjab since his escape.
Australian authorities had requested the extradition of Rajwinder Singh from India in March 2021, which was granted last month. But the 38-year-old accused could not be found till then.

According to Queensland Police Commissioner Katarina Carroll, Rajwinder Singh had been trying to avoid arrest in the Indian state of Punjab since his escape. The extradition of the accused in March 2021 was accepted last month, but the search for the 38-year-old accused was not over till then.
