A young TikToker tragically lost his life when his firearm discharged accidentally while he was recording a video in the Swat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The occurrence of fatalities linked to innovative video-making methods for social media platforms like TikTok remains a pressing concern, as the desire to create distinctive content has claimed yet another life.
The individual who passed away has been identified as Abu Bakar, a 26-year-old resident of the Shaheen Abad area in Saidu Sharif, Swat.
Reports indicate that Abu Bakar unintentionally shot himself while filming for the widely-used video-sharing platform TikTok.
Upon receiving notification of the incident, the police promptly arrived at the scene and transported the young man’s body to the Central Hospital in Saidu Sharif.
An investigation has been initiated by the police, who are in the process of gathering evidence and filing a First Information Report (FIR).
It is important to note that this incident is not an isolated one; a similar tragedy occurred in 2021 when a teenage boy lost his life while creating a TikTok video.
This earlier incident also took place in Swat, where a teenage boy fatally shot himself while attempting to film a video for TikTok.
