RAWALPINDI: Three people were injured in an armed attack in Rawalpindi Chuntra police station limits over an old enmity.
Sources said a group of armed men entered a house and opened fire on a family over an old enmity. As a result, three men, Sardar Ghairat, Sardar Irfan Taj, Riyast Mahmood and Malik Riyast sustained severe built injuries.
Sources further said the accused including Sardar Babar, Sardar Tabassum, Sardar Humayun, Sardar Sajjad and Nazakat had used Kalashnikovs and pistols during the attack.
Citing the details of the incident, a victim Sardar Amir said that the injured had come to the Karachi and they were presented at his house when armed men sprayed bullets on them.
According to Amir, police have not yet reached the spot and no case has been registered. The injured were shifted to a hospital for treatment, he said.
He said even before this, these people have been intimidating the citizens. “It is their job to occupy people’s lands. We contacted the police but no action has taken against them,” he alleged.
Sardar Amir demanded from the higher authorities to arrest the culprits and give them exemplary punishment.
