KARACHI: Three dacoits were killed in what has been reported as an encounter in Korangi area last night.
According to details available with MM News, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Korangi Sajid Suddozai said that the shootout took place when the robbers attempted to enter a house with the intention of robbery.
The police acted promptly after receiving the information and reached the scene. The robbers had entered the house through its roof and made the family hostage.
Reports suggest upon seeing the police, the robbers started firing. In retaliation, the police fired back and killed the three robbers. The looted valuables were also recovered from their custody.
The bodies of the three dacoits were moved to a nearby hospital, where they were identified as Ahmed, Saeed and Sadiq. The police lauded the bravery of the officers involved in the encounter and credited them for preventing a potential robbery.
