The Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) has announced that some areas of Karachi will face water shortage for the next three days.

- Landhi
- Korangi
- Liaquatabad
- Nazimabad

- Manzoor Goth
- Gulshan-i-Iqbal

The KWSC has advised that residents should ration water in advance and use it sparingly. A spokesperson for the utility stated that the metropolitan city receives a daily supply of 650 million gallons of water, but the repairs would result in a significant reduction of 250 million gallons.
Despite repairs, the KWSC stated that 400 million gallons of water per day would still be supplied as usual.
The repairs on the 48-inch FTM and 54-inch CTM pipelines began on Saturday and are expected to be completed within 72 hours. A spokesperson noted that once the work was finished, the city’s water supply would significantly improve.
KWSC Managing Director Asadullah Khan has emphasized the importance of ensuring an uninterrupted water supply throughout Ramazan, instructing that all leaks in the water pipelines be repaired before the holy month begins.
In the recent past, Karachi faced several water crises, including prolonged shortages due to underground mainline leaks on University Road.
The supply was resumed after 17 days. The 84-inch line was ruptured at two locations.
