Fresh details have emerged in the tragic case of Mustafa Amir, whose death was confirmed by police on Friday night after he had been missing for over a month.
The primary suspect has now confessed, revealing that Mustafa was tortured, beaten, and then transported to Hub in his own vehicle. Meanwhile, Mustafa’s mother has accused a woman of orchestrating her son’s murder.
Who was Mustafa Amir and what happened to him?
Mustafa Amir, a BBA student from DHA, went missing on January 6. According to police reports, he had gone to the house of a suspect, Armughan, where he was allegedly murdered. However, his case only gained attention after more than a month had passed since his disappearance.
On February 8, the AVCC police raided Armughan’s residence in Gizri, during which Armughan opened fire on law enforcement officials. As a result, DSP Ahsan Zulfiqar and a constable sustained injuries.
Police investigation
Authorities say that Mustafa and Armughan were friends but had a heated altercation on New Year’s Eve. Following the dispute, Armughan allegedly threatened Mustafa and his female companion.
On January 6, Armughan called Mustafa to his residence, where he reportedly subjected him to severe violence. Meanwhile, the woman linked to the case left the country on January 12. Efforts are being made to contact her through Interpol, as her testimony is deemed critical for the investigation.
A few days after Mustafa’s disappearance, charred remains believed to be his were discovered inside a burned vehicle near the Hub checkpost. Following this discovery, murder charges were added to the case based on a statement from a second suspect, Shiraz Bukhari, also known as Shavez.

Forensic evidence further supports the investigation. Blood samples collected from Armughan’s house matched the DNA of Mustafa’s mother.
Meanwhile, the Anti-Terrorism Court in Karachi has granted a seven-day physical remand of Shiraz Bukhari to the police until February 21 and has requested a progress report for the next hearing.
Allegation of Mustafa Amir’s mother
Mustafa Amir’s mother has accused a woman named Marsha Shahid of orchestrating her son’s murder. According to her, Marsha had been in a relationship with Mustafa for four years but had developed a drug addiction, which caused frequent disputes between them.
She alleged that Marsha had connections with Armughan and other individuals and that when Mustafa confronted her about her behavior, tensions escalated. She further claimed that Marsha instructed Armughan to kill Mustafa.
Marsha reportedly moved to the United States for studies in August 2024 but returned to Pakistan on December 22. Following her return, disputes between her and Mustafa intensified. The investigation is ongoing, with efforts being made to determine the full extent of her involvement.
