Steve Pepoon, a renowned television writer best known for his work on the long-running animated series “The Simpsons”, has passed away at the age of 68.
His wife, Mary Stephenson, confirmed his death and shared that Pepoon had been battling cardiac amyloidosis, a rare heart condition, for some time.
Pepoon began his career humbly, working at a shoe store in Kansas, before moving to Los Angeles in 1979, where his creative talents quickly drew attention from the television industry.
In 1989, he joined The Simpsons as a writer. His sharp wit and storytelling significantly contributed to the show’s global success.
