Experts warn that urban centers, including Karachi, are likely to experience intensified heatwave conditions due to the urban heat island effect, exacerbating drought-like conditions. Across the country, most regions are expected to remain hot and dry, with temperatures forecasted to be 2°C to 3°C above seasonal averages.
In Karachi specifically, daytime temperatures could rise by 3°C to 4°C above normal, further adding to the discomfort for residents.
