HYDERABAD: Railway Police arrested a tea seller for selling tea inside a train at the Kotri station and also confiscated his thermos and paper cups.
According to Railway Police, SHO Kotri Asadullah Unnar was reviewing security arrangements and prevention of crime. Along with head constable Subedar Khan and other police officers, they were patrolling the platform and reached the micro tower when the Karakoram Express stopped there.
The police officers went inside the train and found a young man selling tea in Bogie No. 10 of Economy Class and disrupting passengers. Railway police asked him for a permit and medical certificate but he was unable to provide them.
The man identified himself as Imran son of Rafiq and admitted to selling tea without a permit. He was promptly arrested while police also confiscated his thermos and ten disposable cups. A case has been registered against them under Section 113 of Railway Act at the Kotri police station.
