BANGKOK: Taimoor Khan, the undefeated professional boxer from Pakistan, claimed the vacant WBC Asia heavyweight title with an impressive victory over Thailand’s Panya Chomphoophuang. The match, labeled “Explosive Power,” took place at the Space Plus Night Club in RCA Plaza, Bangkok the other day.
The victory was a significant milestone for Khan, who has been steadily climbing the ranks of the boxing world. With the WBC Asia heavyweight title now in his possession, he is expected to attract even more attention and potentially secure even bigger fights in the future.
According to information gathered by MM News, the 26-year-old, also known as “The Diamond Boy,” dominated the match from the start and knocked out his experienced opponent in the second round. The victory improved his professional record to a perfect 8-0, with seven knockouts.
The fight was promoted by prolific Asian promoter Brico Santig of Highland Boxing Promotions. Speaking to reporters after the match, Khan said that he was feeling spiritually and physically strong and was confident of winning the title. He added that he was proud to have made his nation proud and become the first-ever fighter from Pakistan to win such a high-level competition.
