MELBOURNE: The cricket fraternity praised Pakistan for the fight back despite losing to England in the grand final of the T20 World Cup 2022 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday.
Former skipper Shahid Khan Afridi, while reacting to Pakistan defeat praised the efforts of the team in the tournament.
In a Tweet he said: “The batting side dug a hole that even the world’s best bowling couldn’t fill. Outstanding effort by the team to get to the final against all odds and a great game of cricket. England came well prepared. Chin up boys, we are the runners up of the T20 World Cup.”
