Renowned Bollywood actress and former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen has expressed support for Pakistani actor Fawad Khan’s return to Indian cinema.
According to Indian media, reports of Fawad Khan returning to Bollywood after nine years have stirred up discussions in the industry. While extremist Hindu groups have opposed his appearance in an Indian film and issued threats, several Bollywood actors have come forward in his defense.
The wave of support began with Sunny Deol and was followed by actress Ameesha Patel. Now, Sushmita Sen has also backed Fawad Khan, saying that art and sports should not be confined by borders.
Sushmita stated that creativity thrives in a free environment and therefore, there should be no restrictions on artistic and sports collaborations. She added that she wishes Fawad Khan all the best.
When asked if she would consider acting in Pakistani films, Sushmita responded openly, saying, “I would always love to be part of a good film, no matter which country it comes from.”
It’s worth mentioning that Fawad Khan is set to appear in an Indian film after a hiatus of nine years.
