PESHAWAR: The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Mahmood Khan, has decided to dissolve the provincial assembly on Tuesday.
The development comes exactly after 2 days when Mahmood Khan announced on Twitter that the summary to dissolve KP Assembly would be sent on Tuesday.

Multiple media reports quoted Chief Minister Mahmood Khan as saying at the last cabinet meeting today that time had come to get rid of the ‘gang of thieves’, and that in the larger interest of the country, the provincial assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would be dissolved tonight under Article 112 of the Constitution.

This came after former Prime Minister and Chairman PTI Imran Khan directed CM KP Mehmood Khan to send the summary for the dissolution of KP assembly to Governor Haji Ghulam Ali.
It may be added here that as per the Constitution, even if the Governor decides against putting his signature on the draft summary for the dissolution of the provincial assembly, the House will stand dissolved within 48 hours, ending Thursday.
