Bollywood actors Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s film Stree 2 has made history at the box office, becoming the first film to earn ₹600 crore solely in India.
In the past, Aamir Khan’s Ghajini surpassed the ₹100 crore mark, and 3 Idiots made history in 2009 by entering the ₹200 crore club. Now, Stree 2 has become the first film to cross the ₹600 crore milestone.
Due to Cinema Day, ticket prices were reduced to ₹99, which attracted large crowds to theaters. On Friday, the film performed exceptionally well, earning ₹24.65 crore in its fifth week since release.
On Saturday, Stree 2 collected ₹3.65 crore, while on Sunday, it earned ₹4.85 crore. With these impressive numbers, Stree 2 has surpassed Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster Jawan, which set a record with ₹582 crore from its Hindi version.
Additionally, Stree 2 has outperformed other blockbuster films such as Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal (₹502.98 crore), Pathaan (₹524.53 crore Hindi version), and Gadar 2 (₹525.7 crore). The storyline of Stree 2 has captivated audiences, contributing to its immense success.
