Story of PUBG game – From ban to decision of Court

PLAYER Unknown’s Battlegrounds, popularly known as PUBG, is a popular online game made by a South Korean firm Bluehole inc, which has become very popular with hundreds of millions of people particularly students.
PTA temporarily suspended PUBG
The internationally renowned video game Player Unknown’s Battleground (PUBG) had been temporarily banned in Pakistan by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority PTA on the first of July.
The reason stated behind the whole scenario is that four teenage boys committed suicide over not being permitted to play the game and another young person dying while playing the game.
The authority also said it had received several complaints about the game being “addictive”, a waste of time and its potential negative impact on children’s physical and psychological health.
The whole country is split up according to their own personal opinions. Many believe that this was done greatly in the favor of the nation while others have to say that this was a horrific decision that will soon lead to seriously dire consequences for everyone.
Health issues due to PUBG
The most popular smartphone game in the world, the PUBG is affecting the mental health of the children and youth.
The World Health Organisation in 2018 declared gaming addiction as a mental health disorder. Addiction to video games increases depression and anxiety levels.
Known outcomes of playing PUBG are a strain on the eyes, frazzle, migraine, obesity, poor sleep and more.
Psychological health issues are there too such as withdrawal (irritability, poor sleep, anger) depression, insomnia and even substance abuse as a result of compulsive disorder.
Addiction to such games can trigger the want of drugs and can ultimately lead towards a deterioration of health.
Reactions from Social media platforms
Social media platforms have been stormed with people who showcase their skills in the game. 
This was a huge way of people showing their feedback and support for the game and those who play it.
PUBG gameplay videos are constantly seen to be trending on YouTube. Players and celebrities all around the world can be seen playing the game either in a recorded video or even live.
The modern world is one where anyone can get to sell their skills to the whole world even while sitting at their homes. PUBG has garnered such a fan base that active economic participation has been seen in the game.
People in Pakistan have been making solid earning with the help of PUBG. They have their loyal fans who view them on all platforms of social media.
These days all videos are monetized so the up-loader gets to earn from people enjoying the video online.
Pakistan’s reputation due to PUBG
According to its user, E-Sports have been getting the same reputation such as all other contemporary forms of sports. Several international PUBG tournaments have been held in which players from almost every country compete for the prize.
They said Pakistan gained a very respectful place at international platforms due to the performance of its PUBG players.
Several teams’ freestyle from Pakistan has won the International PUBG tournament and has competed in other well-reputed events.
An alternate way of spending spare time People have been using the game as an alternate way of spending all the spare time they have at hand due to the current global situation.
Staying at home was made easier for many due to the past time activity offered by PUBG. It is known to everyone that Pakistan is one of the top porn consuming countries in the world.
However, PUBG gave people a fun way to spend their free time while not being involved in any immoral or shameful act. If that is taken away from people, it cannot be imagined what notorious activities people will get into.
The deaths that are acclaimed as being due to PUBG have not been properly investigated by the forensic authorities.
In fact, the suicides are a very sad event but the mental health of those children was not monitored by their patients, or else this could have been avoided.
The other case of death is very vaguely attached to Unbanning PUBG. There could have been many other medical or drug-related reasons for that mortality.
The sadness of these deaths cannot be overshadowed but the true reasons behind those must be brought to the public.
IHC orders PTA to lift PUBG ban
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to unban online game PlayerUnknown’s Battleground (PUBG).
According to details, the IHC Justice Amir Farooq nullified the decision of the PTA regarding the ban on PUBG and has ordered to unban the online gaming app.
The court remarked that the PUBG game should be restored immediately while issuing directions to PTA in a detailed decision.
IHC on 14th July reserved its verdict on a petition against the ban on popular online game PUBG.
  During the last hearing, the PTA lawyer said that it contained some anti-Islamic material that led to the ban. The court asked where the un-Islamic material was written in the meeting minutes.
Online gamers thank Waqar Zaka
Gamers have thanked renowned social media influencer Waqar Zaka after the Islamabad High Court ordered to unban online game PlayerUnknown’s Battleground (PUBG).
People have not stopped thanking Zaka for taking the step towards listing the PUBG ban. As the court’s order to lift the ban on the game came out, the trends of PUBG on social media increased.
Since the ban had been placed, people took to Twitter to drop their reactions about the government’s decision and requesting the prime minister over lifting the ban on PUBG.
Pakistan would not be the first country to ban PUBG because of its violent nature. Last year in July 2019, Jordan, China, Iraq, Nepal, and the Indian state of Gujrat banned PUBG for its possible perverse effect on its citizens.
