Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan starrer movie ‘Jawan’ has entered the Rs 1000 crore club in just 18 days.
The movie besides Shah Rukh Khan, stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles. It features stars Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, Lehar Khan, Girija Oak, and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya. Sanjay Dutt and Deepika Padukone also make cameo appearances in the film.
The movie has grossed ₹1000 crore at the worldwide box office which makes SRK the first Indian actor with two films in the ₹1000 crore club in a single year.
The accompanying video showed a glimpse of Shah Rukh Khan as Vikram Rathore and son Azad from Jawan. The text on the clip read, ” ₹1004.92 crore worldwide gross.” Reacting to it, an X user said, “SRK (Shah Rukh Khan) + Atlee + Anirudh Ravichander (the film’s music composer)… ₹1500 crore soon.” Another person tweeted, “Only Indian actor (Shah Rukh Khan) to have two ₹1000 crore grossers worldwide.

The film had earned a whopping ₹75 crore nett in India in all languages on its opening day. Jawan’s week one collection in India was ₹389.88 crore, while in week 2, the movie made another ₹136.1 crore net.
‘Jawan’, a father-son story at its core, highlights various social and political issues through its hero, essayed by Shah Rukh. The film also stars Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover, and Mukesh Chhabra as well as Sanjay Dutt in a cameo appearance.
The movie makers did not reveal nor confirm on which OTT platform Jawan will stream but it looks like Netflix has cracked a deal with the movie and will be releasing the blockbuster digitally within a few months.
