COLOMBO: Sri Lankan cricketer Angelo Matthews has praised Pakistan regarding its safety and security concerns for the cricket team in the country.
In a tweet posted on Twitter, the Sri Lankan cricketer said that Pakistan was safe for cricket and thanked the Special Services Group (SSG) of the armed forced and other security forces ensuring the safety of the cricketers.

Angelo Matthews thanked the people of Pakistan for the great hospitality and wrote, “Thank you Pakistan for the great hospitality and excellent security. We were looked after so well and we felt safe as anywhere else in the world.”

On Monday, Pakistan won the first-ever home test series against Sri Lanka by 1-0 after defeating the visitors by 263 runs in the second and final Test match at the National Stadium, Karachi.
