'Squid Game': When will season 2 of survival drama be released?

The new season of the iconic dystopian drama ‘Squid Game’ is ready to arrive soon this year on Netflix.

Season 1

The first season of the ‘Squid Game’ became a smashing hit worldwide. Season one showed Lee Jung-jae who was drowned in neck-deep debt receiving an invitation to participate in a competition that throws over 450 contestants into a series of children’s games.

There was a massive cash prize for winners. However, losers faced deadly consequences. Lee Jung-jae participated and eventually came out alive. However, at the end of the Squid Game Season 1, he vowed to take on the masterminds behind the cruel game.

Season 2

The new season will feature 456 contestants competing in non-lethal challenges for a prize pool of $4.56 million, reported Hindustan Times. While the deadly games from the first season may be absent, the show is expected to maintain its thrilling and intense nature. Netflix has confirmed that Squid Game:

Season 2 cast

Netflix has shown some of the new ‘Squid Game’ cast members. Yim Si-Wan, Kang Ha-Neul, Park Sung-Hoon and Yang Dong-Guen are the new performers in ‘Squid Game’ in its second season.

However, at the moment, there is no official confirmation about the role that any of these actors will play in the new episodes.

Release date

Season 1 came out on September 17, 2021. ‘Squid Game’ season 2 is most likely to come out sometime in November 2024.
