SEOUL: South Korea has become the first country to control the coronavirus outbreak in just 20 days.
South Korea became the second Asian country-after-China-to permit public movement. Religious sites and playgrounds were also opened in the country. Moreover, South Korea had reduced the partial lockdowns to 80 percent of all workplaces.
As per the South Korean government’s orders, several private companies and companies have abolished the work-from-home policy and directed all employees to come to work. While the government has also urged the suspected sick people to stay confined to homes.
Although partial lockdowns are now implemented in many countries, others have even begun to soften partial lockdowns, experts believe that the world still needs 2 to 3 months to restore business life as usual.
From the end of February and the beginning of March, the Corona cases from South Korea were the highest and South Korea was the most affected country after China. The country reported just eight more cases of the coronavirus on Sunday, the first time a daily increase has dropped to single digits in about two months.
The first confirmed case of the pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 in South Korea was announced on 20th January 2020.
