It was a comfortable seven-wicket win for Proteas over the Buttler-XI. They chased the 180-run target in the 30th over of the game.
They lost Tristan Stubbs in the third over and Ryan Rickelton in the second last over of the powerplay. But Rassie van der Dussen and Heinrich Klassen made a 127-run partnership to lead their side to victory. Klassen got out for 64, and David Miller came on the crease to hit the winning shot on his second ball.
Jofra Archer was the key bowler for his side with two wickets. Adil Rashid grabbed one scalp. Saqib Mahmood, Jamie Overton, and Liam Livingstone did not have any wickets.
The result of the match between India and New Zealand in Dubai on Sunday (tomorrow) would decide who they would be facing from Australia and South Africa in the semis.
Proteas pacers Wiaan Mulder and Marco Jansen grabbed three wickets apiece to skittle England for a dismal 170 all out.
