Let’s just agree, India’s famous film industry called Bollywood is best at making movies and entertaining audiences but unfortunately, when it comes to creating good music, the industry lacks.
Plagiarism in India is not new as Bollywood is known for copying Pakistani songs, without even giving them due credit. After the plagiarism case claimed by Abrar-ul-Haq against Karan Johar who copied Haq’s song ‘Nach Punjaban’ and used it in 2022’s movie ‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’, and ‘Disco Deewane’ use in ‘An Action Hero’, the Indians have copied yet another Pakistani song.
Recently, Sonu Nigam sang a song for T-Series in collaboration with DJ Sheizwood titled Sun Zara. Apparently, the song is a copy of Pakistani singer Omer Nadeem’s song ‘Aye Khuda’. He released that song 14 years ago and it was available on YouTube.
Omer Nadeem has reacted to plagiarism. The singer said that he does not care too much if something like this happens at this point but they can at least mention him in credits when they are copying his song.
