ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi has said that the corruption society should be discouraged by society and a corrupt must be excluded.
Dr. Arif Alvi posted a tweet in which he wrote that besides laws and non-partisan implementation, the society must also discourage corruption and ostracize the corrupt.

He wrote, “Golden tradition of Accountability of those in power was first established by Islam.”
He added, “Khulafa-e-Rashidin were living examples of enforcing this principle on themselves too.”

Earlier on Monday, the president saluted to the courage and skills of the crew of the Pakistan Navy on the 48th anniversary of ‘Hangor’ day.
The president said, “Today is 48th ‘Hangor’day. Hangor was a Pakistani submarine that sank Indian Navy Ship ‘Khukri’ in 1971.”
He added, “We salute the courage & skills of the crew & of Pakistan Navy. This heroic action is the only incident in the Naval history of a successful kill by a ‘conventional submarine’ since WWII.”
