Six men were shot dead while a woman received bullet injuries during a clash between two groups over a family feud in Peshawar on Monday morning.
As per media reports, the clash took place in the Khattako Pul area of Peshawar. After the clash Rescue 1122 team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured woman to Lady Reading Hospital due to her serious condition.
According to police, the armed clash between the two groups was due to old enmity.
They said they have registered a case, and efforts were underway to apprehend the culprits.
These kinds of incidents are not uncommon in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Earlier in April 2025, six people were killed and a passerby was injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire at a car in the jurisdiction of Phandu police station.
SSP operations Masood Ahmad Bangash had said some four to five attackers, carrying different kinds of weapons, including a Kalashnikov and a pistol, opened fire at the car, adding six riders were killed and a passerby was wounded in the firing.
He said that, according to initial information, the motive behind the killing was an old enmity, adding that one of the deceased belonged to Swabi.
