QUETTA: A sit-in continues for the second day today against the killing of miners in the Mach area of Balochistan.
Hazaras staged a sit-in in Quetta yesterday against the killing of miners in Mach as armed militants kidnapped them and took them to a nearby area before opening fire at close range. The protesters said that the government has completely failed to protect the lives and property of the people, those involved in the incident should be arrested immediately and punished.
The sit-in participants demanded immediate arrest of the accused involved in the incident. Former Minister Syed Agha Raza, leader of Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen Balochistan said that the bodies of 11 miners who were martyred in the incident have been brought to the Hazara cemetery in Quetta, but the heirs have not yet decided on the burial.

It may be mentioned that 11 laborers were killed and several others were injured in firing in Mach Tehsil of Bolan District of Balochistan yesterday. Prime Minister Imran Khan had condemned the killing of 11 miners, saying the attack was cowardly and inhumane.
He directed that all means be used to catch and arrest the killers. The government will not leave the families of the dead miners alone, he maintained.
