OTTAWA: Canadian singer Justin Bieber while highlighting the killing of George Floyd expressed that all lives do not matter until black lives matter.
Taking to Instagram, the singer shared a Washington Post report according to which George Floyd died of “Asphyxia due to neck and back compression,” his family’s autopsy finds.
Justin Bieber wrote, “For all of those people who are still saying “Let’s wait to hear all the fact.”
He captioned the post “Justice, Justice, Justice.” Bieber further said, “All lives do not matter until black lives matter.”
George Floyd was an unarmed black man who died after a Minneapolis police officer kneeled on his neck for more than eight minutes as he told them “I can’t breathe”. He moved to Minneapolis after being released from prison.
Celebrities including Justin Bieber, Lizzo, Harry Styles, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Cardi B, Selena Gomez, DJ Khalid, Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato, Halsey, Camila Cabello and many more expressed their grief and sought justice against the police violence.
