KARACHI: The total number of coronavirus cases in Sindh has crossed 1000 after 50 new cases were reported in the province, raising the provincial death tally to 20.
Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister on Law Murtaza Wahab, while confirming the number of COVID-19 cases in Sindh, said that the total number of the tests conducted was 1,0981 out of which 1,036 turned out to be positive.
He said the number of patients who have recovered from COVID-19 is 280. Wahab also announced two more deaths due to the virus. The province has lost 20 people to coronavirus, he added.
Wahab earlier confirmed that 12 more patients of the coronavirus disease recovered. He added that these patients recovered from the virus after going into isolation. “People should learn that isolation or social distancing is the only cure to the COVID-19,” he advised.
As many as 54 people have died of COVID-19 since its outbreak in the country, which includes 20 in Sindh, 15 in Punjab, 18 in KP, Balochistan 01, and 03 in Gilgit-Baltistan. Meanwhile, 429 people have recovered.
