KARACHI: Sindh government health authorities have reported 138 fresh cases of novel COVID-19 in the province taking the total number of patients in the province to 2,355.
According to Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab, as many as 138 cases have been reported till Saturday. Wahab further said the provincial’s health officials conducted 1666 tests of COVID-19 in past 24 hours.
The spokesman said in the last 24 hours, 11 COVID-19 patients have recovered from the disease in Sindh. Overall 22,938 tests were conducted in the province out of 2,355 positive cases were detected, Wahab added.
According to the spokesperson, the death toll by COVID-19 in Sindh has reached to 48, while 592 patients have recovered from the disease.
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country rose to 7,481 on Saturday, while eight deaths were reported during the last 24 hours which took the death toll to 143.
According to the government’s figures, 1,832 patients have recovered from the COVID-91. Currently 5,506 patients are being treated at different hospitals and quarantine facilities across the country.
According to the statistics released by the government officials, the total number of tests conducted, so far in the country stands at 92,584 with 6,416 tests conducted in last 24 hours.
