KARACHI: Sindh Police will soon begin receiving applications for over 1000 positions of Assistant Sub Inspector as the plan was authorized by the provincial authorities.
As per media reports, the Section Officer of the Sindh Police Department has penned a letter to the Sindh Public Service Commission for the recruitment of new officers.
There will be 1046 recruitments in total, 157 women and 53 minority candidates will be appointed to ASI Grade 11 posts. 753 recruitments including 38 minorities and 113 women will be appointed in the Karachi region.
More than 154 ASIs will be deployed in Hyderabad, 23 for Mirpur Khas, 39 for Shaheed Benazirabad, 38 for Sukkur, and 39 for the Larkana range.
Last month the Sindh government launched an ambitious initiative to bolster law enforcement across the province, kickstarting the recruitment process for over 11,000 new police personnel.
In a bid to enhance security measures in Karachi, 3,108 males, 583 females, and 194 minority police personnel are slated to be recruited within the Karachi range. Additionally, the Sukkur range is set to see an influx of 638 new policemen, including 96 women, while the Larkana range will witness the recruitment of 2,114 policemen, with 318 being women.
