KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced new coronavirus-related instructions and extended the timings of restaurants till 1 am from 10 pm.
The home department of the Sindh government rolled out new instructions reads that the restaurants can provide dine-out service until 10 pm while they can facilitate customers for takeaway services for up to an hour into midnight.
Notification of the Home Department of Sindh government allowing restaurants to conduct take away services till 1 am. Earlier, the restaurants were only allowed, officially, to carry out take away operations until 10 pm.
The notification, effective immediately, is valid till next year until 31st January, it read. Moreover, three famous restaurants at the Do Darya had been sealed over SOP violations in Karachi.

The restaurants include Kababjees, Al Habib, and Sajjad citing violation of coronavirus standard operating procedures (SOPs). For restaurants, the SOPs include maintaining the social distance between patrons, wearing masks, and closing at 10 pm.
In this regard, South Deputy Commissioner Arshad Ali Sodhar ordered strict action against SOP violators. He warned that they will not tolerate any violation of coronavirus SOPs.
