The Sindh Government has announced an initiative to provide free electric motorcycles to women, aiming to improve their transportation for professional duties.
The Department of Transport, Sindh, plans to distribute 1,200 electric motorcycles each year, with 100 women receiving these bikes every month.
To bolster women’s mobility and support their participation in the workforce, the department has requested a budget of Rs300 million for the Electric Vehicle (EV) motorcycle scheme.
The motorcycles will be allocated to women through a lottery system, according to the Transport Department.
