KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said the provincial government has decided to screen all those people who have travelled along with their family members to Iran.
He said he has formed a task force which will be meeting at 7:00 pm every day to appraise the situation and steps in the province.
Talking to media CM said currently 28 people who have traveled along with the patient are under observation in different hospitals in the city.
Shah informed that about 8,500 Pakistani nationals have visited Iran from 2 February 2022, and of them, 1500 belonged to Sindh province. CM further said that union council wise the data of 1500 persons were being made so that they could be kept in isolation in their respective houses.
He added In case of emergence of coronavirus symptoms in any of them could be shifted to the hospital. He said that the educational institutions have been closed for two days followed by two closed holiday days- Saturday and Sunday, he mentioned.
Replying a question, he said that a hospital in the metropolis has been committed for the treatment of coronavirus patients.
CM said that he has requested Aga Khan Hospital to purchase all the required equipment, gadgets and medicines for the hospital and Sindh government would pay the expense, he added.
He said that a 24 hours functional Control Room-cum-Help Line has been established at Commissioner Karachi. The health authorities have also notified to established District Rapid Response Teams under district health officers.
