The Sindh government has announced new school timings which will start from August 1 after the summer holidays end on July 31.
According to media reports, the School Education and Literacy Department has issued new timings for primary, secondary, higher secondary schools, and colleges.
For primary schools, classes will be held from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm from Monday to Thursday and on Saturday. On Fridays, the timing will be from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Schools with two shifts will follow this schedule:
- First shift from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm (Monday to Thursday and Saturday)
- On Friday, the first shift will end at 12:00 pm
- The second shift will run from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm (Monday to Saturday)
Secondary and higher secondary schools will have the same timings:
- 8:00 am to 1:30 pm (Monday to Thursday and Saturday)
- 8:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday
For double-shift schools:
- First shift will be from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm (Monday to Thursday and Saturday)
- On Friday, it will end at 10:30 am
- The second shift will be from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm (Monday to Saturday)
Colleges will open from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm (Monday to Thursday and Saturday) and from 8:30 am to 11:30 am on Friday.
The new schedule will apply to all schools and colleges in Sindh from August 1.
