The Sindh government has announced a province-wide public holiday from March 31 to April 2, 2025, in observance of Eid ul Fitr, according to an official notification.
As per the announcement signed by Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah, all public and semi-government offices will remain closed from Monday to Wednesday.
Earlier, the federal government also declared a three-day public holiday for Eid, with the Cabinet Division confirming the closure from March 31 to April 2.
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee and zonal committees will meet on Sunday evening, March 30, 2025 (Ramazan 29, 1446 AH) to sight the Shawwal moon, which will determine the official end of Ramadan and the beginning of Eid celebrations.
According to scientific models, the Shawwal moon is expected to be visible on March 30, suggesting that Eid ul Fitr will likely be celebrated in Pakistan on March 31, 2025.
