Social media users are criticising the poster that Bollywood actor Salman Khan has recently shared for his upcoming film Sikandar, film critics say that fans feel the Bollywood actor appears uninterested in his own film.
According to Filmy Indian host Deeksha Sharma, the initial impression of the Sikandar movie logo was disappointing. There are high expectations for Sikandar, but the first-look poster is underwhelming.
Deeksha Sharma stated that fans anticipated an exciting reveal on Salman Khan’s birthday, but the poster lacked creativity and effort. The film’s story is still a mystery, as nothing revealing was shared.
Given the high-budget and experienced creators, the poster should have been much better. Deeksha Sharma states, “Fans feel Salman Khan appears uninterested in his own film. The poster lacks innovation, unlike Animal’s impactful motion poster.”
The Sikandar theme song in the background is the only positive aspect. Compared to Tere Naam’s wallpaper, Sikandar’s content feels weak. A Wanted-style new look could have ignited excitement.
Some fans are defending average content instead of demanding better films are partly responsible for Salman Khan’s declining stardom. Vicky Kaushal’s recent film grossed ₹120 crore in 3 days, raising pressure on Sikandar to perform well.
If Sikandar fails to match Chhava’s opening-day collection, it could hurt Salman Khan’s star power. Sikandar’s release is in 1.5 months, requiring aggressive and special promotions.
The teaser or title track might be released on February 27, but the current poster lacks engagement power. Salman Khan must step out of his comfort zone and deliver content that restores audience confidence in him
