The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest ODI player rankings, with India’s Shubman Gill dethroning Babar Azam from the No. 1 spot after four years.
Gill now leads the rankings with 796 points, while Babar Azam, after dropping one position, holds 773 points.
India’s captain Rohit Sharma is placed third, while South Africa’s Heinrich Klaasen has moved up one place to fourth. New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell also improved two spots to claim the fifth position.
Among Pakistani batters, Fakhar Zaman slipped one spot to 14th, while Mohammad Rizwan made a remarkable jump of six places to secure 15th position.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s Mahesh Theekshana has claimed the top spot in the ICC ODI bowling rankings. Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan has dropped to second place, while Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi slipped one spot to fifth position. New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner made a significant jump of five places, securing the seventh position in the rankings.
In the ICC ODI all-rounders rankings, Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi retained his top position.
