SHO martyred, two assailants killed in encounter in Bannu

BANNU: Station House Officer (SHO) was martyred and two assailants were shot down in an alleged encounter in Bannu on Saturday.

As per reports, two people opened fire at the police team, two attackers were killed in Bannu city police station premises in exchange for shooting. While police officials said that during an encounter SHO Abdul Majeed Khan embraced martyrdom and his body was moved to district headquarters hospital.

While police cordoned off the area and closed Chaye Bazar for all types of traffic and its nearby areas and advised people to stay at their homes.

Sanaullah Abbasi IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa announced Rs 1 million prize money to the police party and said that the police killed wanted criminals, the police identified the attacker as Nayab and arrested two other assailants.
