ISLAMABAD: The daughter of former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shireen Mazari has reportedly been arrested in Islamabad.
In a late-night post, the former minister said that policemen in plain clothes, including women personnel and paratroopers, took away her daughter Imaan Hazir Mazari.
Shireen Mazari strongly condemned the incident, saying the personnel barged into her house by breaking down the front door of their house.
She expressed her dismay over the overnight action by law enforcers, who not only apprehended her daughter but also confiscated security cameras, Imaan’s laptop, and phone.
Just now police women, plainclothes people and r ager types took my daughter away after braking down our front door. Taking away our security cameras and her laptop and cell. We asked who they had xome for and they just dragged Imaan out. They marched all over the house. My…

Mazari revealed that she asked them about their purpose but they dragged Imaan and proceeded to search every corner of her house.
“We asked who they had come for and they just dragged Imaan out. They marched all over the house. My daughter was in her night clothes and said let me change but they just dragged her away,” she added.
She said that Imaan was in her nightdress but police disregarded her daughter’s request to grant her a moment to change out of her nightwear and whisked her away.
She added that this was done without a search or arrest warrant,. She said only two women were living in the house when the incident occurred.
Mazari termed the entire episode as ‘state fascism’ and a kidnapping rather than a lawful apprehension.
Before her arrest, the younger Mazari posted that “unknown persons breaking down my home cameras banging gate jumped over.”
It must be mentioned that Imaan Mazari had yesterday addressed the rally of the Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) in Islamabad where disparaging comments were made against the military.
