ISLAMABAD: Human Rights Minister Shireen Mazari on Wednesday has slammed Daily News for publishing an offensive cartoon of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari took to Twitter to display her anger and rage on the recently published cartoon. She termed it as “insulting” and “offensive.” She called out the English daily to project “decency” while criticizing the Prime Minister.
“Cartoon today in Express Tribune is offensive, over the top & downright insulting. U can have your criticism of the PM but some basic norms of decency & respect should be shown or does hatred overrule decent journalistic bounds? Shameful. Fahad Hussain. Didn’t expect this from u!,” she tweeted.
My profuse apologies to ET and @Fahdhusain The offensive cartoon was in The Nation. My comments on it remain valid. @RameezaNizami pic.twitter.com/BcZndxLasR

She also lashed out at the cartoonist, stating that his “hate-filled mind” was unable to comprehend the gravity of situation in Kashmir.
“Trump repeatedly wants to mediate & Modi finds himself in uncertain terrain despite the Howdy bonhommie. Seems PM IK’s straight talk in NYC has upset ET!,” she added.
