ISLAMABAD: Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad has been arrested by the police while a case has also been registered against the former interior minister.
According to the details, the former interior minister was arrested by the Rawalpindi police from Murree Motorway late at night and has been transferred to Aabpara police station in Islamabad.
The police later shifted Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed from Islamabad’s Aabpara Police Station to Polyclinic Hospital for medical treatment. Police officials claim that Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed was in a state of intoxication.

Officials also claimed that expensive brands of liquor, an M4 rifle, a Kalashnikov, and an automatic gun were recovered from Sheikh Rasheed’s possession. A case has been registered against Awami League chief Sheikh Rasheed at Aabpara police station.
According to the text of the case, Sheikh Rasheed alleged that Asif Zardari hired terrorists to kill Imran Khan, while Sheikh Rasheed’s aim is to defame former President Asif Zardari.
People’s Party Rawalpindi Division President Raja Inayatur Rehman is the plaintiff in the case filed in Abpara Police Station against the former Interior Minister.
