“I remember seeing this TIME magazine cover and it had the gorgeous Parveen Babi on it. I don’t know if you have seen any of her films but it’s because of that cover that I actually watched her films and some of her songs, I just loved. She was so beautiful, such a style goddess,” Mahira said.
Mahira Khan also named the 1981 song from Namak Halaal, “Jawani Janeman”, as one of her favourites. She also hummed a couple of lines from the number.
Mahira Khan starred in the 2017 film Raees alongside Shah Rukh Khan but because of the Uri attacks in 2016, there was an unofficial ban on casting actors from across the border.
On the work front, the actress, known for her roles in Raees and Humsafar, was last seen in the social drama serial ‘Razia’. Her next project is with Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed in the Netflix series ‘Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo’. The show, an official adaptation of Farhat Ishtiaq’s bestselling 2013 Urdu-language novel, will be the streamer’s first Pakistan-themed original, reported Variety.
